My Mini & Me
Ages 18 to 30 months
My Mini & Me is for dancers age 18 to 30 months who are accompanied by a parent, grandparent, babysitter, or other other caregiver. Class will focus on developing balance, coordination and motor skills, and learning classroom participation skills. Class is 30 minutes long.
Pre-Ballet
Ages 2 to 5
Pre-Ballet classes will focus on basic ballet skills, creative movement, learning to follow directions, and class participation. Class is 30-45 minutes long depending on the age group.
Pre-Ballet 1 – 2 years old
Pre-Ballet 2 – 3 years old
Pre-Ballet 3 – 4-5 years old
Some Pre-Ballet classes may be offered as a mixed age group/level.
Foundations Program Specialty Classes
Age Requirement Varies by Class
Hip Hop Tots – Hip Hop Tots class will cover basic hip hop skills, motor skills, and hip hop choreography. Class is 45 minutes long. Ages 4-5.
Hip Hop Kids – Hip Hop Kids covers the same material as Hip Hop Tots but at the next skill level. Class is 45 minutes long. Ages 6-7.
Broadway Baby – Broadway Baby is an introduction to musical theater. Dancers will work on storytelling, performance skills, and basic jazz steps. Class is 45 minutes long. Ages 5-7.
Kids Combos
Ages 5 to 7
Kids Combo A – Students must be at least 5 years old (Kindergarten) to enroll in Level A. Class time will be split between ballet and tap. Ballet time will be spent on basic ballet technique and creative movement and tap time will be spent on basic steps and skills. The class is 60 minutes long, once each week.
Kids Combo B – This class is structured the same way as our Level A class but covers the next level of skills and technique. Students should be in 1st grade.
Kids Combo C – This class is structured the same way as our Level A & B classes but covers the next level of skills and technique. Students should be in 2nd grade.
Some Kids Combo classes may be offered as a mixed age level.
Junior, Intermediate, Teen, & Senior Combos
Combo classes cover ballet, tap, and jazz styles.
Junior Level – For students in 3rd-4th grade. Class is 2 hours long, once each week.
Intermediate Level – For students in 5th-6th grade. Class is 2 hours long, once each week.
Teen level – For students in 7th-8th grade. Class is 2.5 hours long, once each week.
Senior level – For students in 9th-12th grade. Class is 2.5 hours long, once each week.
Core Program Specialty Classes
Age Requirement Varies by Class
Hip Hop – Hip Hop classes covers a variety of different hip hop styles and skills. Students will also work on strength building and conditioning required to be successful in the style. Classes are divided into groups based on grade level in school.
Pointe – For students 12 years and older who have teacher approval to begin pointe work. Dancers must have two full years of ballet training prior to starting. Students must be enrolled in a ballet or combo class to qualify for Pointe. Dancers must first complete Pre-Pointe class and are eligible for Pre-Pointe at the age of 11 with a minimum of two years of ballet training.
Ballet – Class will focus on ballet technique work and will learn a lyrical dance for the Spring Recital. Classes are divided into groups based on grade level in school.
Musical Theater – This class focuses on jazz skills and technique while also emphasizing performance skills. Dancers will learn a musical theater piece for the spring recital. Classes are divided into age groups based on grade level in school.
Contemporary – Expressive dance focusing on modern dance techniques along with lyrical, jazz, and ballet elements. Classes are divided into groups based on grade level in school.
